About

Andy Macdonald is an actor, teacher, director, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Arlington, MA, just outside of Boston.

Andy currently serves as Arts department chair and leads the co-curricular theatre program at Lexington Christian Academy, a rigorous college prep school in Lexington, MA. In the summer of 2010 he also joined the theatre faculty at the prestigious Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in West Michigan. As an actor, he was most recently seen performing the role of Greg in reasons to be pretty at the SpeakEasy Stage, one of Boston’s premiere professional theatres (March-April 2011.)

After graduating with his MFA in Acting from Trinity Rep Conservatory (now Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium) in 2001, Andy spent several years acting in both New York City and New England theatres and playing lead guitar with Josh Cole and the Household. In 2006, Andy began teaching and directing theatre at LCA. In the past four years he has revamped and reinvigorated the theatre program at LCA, creating a model based on college-level acting training and innovative black box style productions.
